Description:
Smaller than-life-size full-length portrait of Derrick J. Robie. He wears t-shirt, jeans and a baseball cap. He holds a baseball bat with both hands and is depicted in the act of swinging the bat. The bronze sculpture stands atop a rough-hewn granite base. The granite base rests on a square concrete footing.

Remarks:
The sculpture is a memorial to Robie, a local child who was a murder victim. The sculpture was created by Hughey, Robie's great uncle, and was cast at Alfred University. Akerson Memorial cast the bronze dedicatory plaque.
