Description:
Figure of a World War I infantryman advancing through the stumps and barbed wire of No Man's Land. He is dressed in field uniform, consisting of helmet, thigh-length coat, breeches and puttees. He holds a rifle in his proper left hand. He stands on an integral square-sided base, surmounting a truncated four-sided pyramid made of concrete. The base is surrounded by a circular bench enclosure.
