    Description: 
    Figure grouping of a seated woman supporting the body of a dead World War II soldier across her lap. The woman wears a long robe and veil. She gazes down at the soldier with an expression of grief. The soldier is dressed in combat uniform and wears a helmet. His proper right arm hangs down limply. His shoulders are supported by the woman's proper right arm. His head leans against the woman's chest. The limestone sculpture stands on a limestone and concrete base.
