    Description:
One of four reliefs flanking the main entrance to the post office on 9th Street. The reliefs symbolize the tireless efforts of postal workers who deliver the mail in the various outer reaches of America. Representing the west is a male dressed as a cowboy delivering a letter to one of two mailboxes in front of him. He wears chaps, a shirt with a bandanna tied around the neck, cowboy boots, and heavy gloves. He holds his cowboy hat behind with his proper right hand which rests on his proper right hip. He leans over taking a step onto the curb with his proper left foot. His proper left elbow rests on his bent left leg as he reaches over to deliver a letter that he hold in his proper left hand. The relief is framed by three tall cacti. A short round cactus is at the base of the mailboxes.
