Description:
A World War I doughboy running with a rifle held in his proper left hand and his proper right hand raised as if beckoning the citizens of Bolton to follow him. The sculpture stands atop a square base made of granite blocks.

Remarks:
The sculpture honors the men of Bolton who died in World War I as well as those who served during the war. Bolton citizens purchased the sculpture and base from Temple Brothers of Rutland, Vermont form $2,000. Hiram F. Seaman was the mason responsible for the base. IAS files contain a copy of the dedication program. Additional information is available in the files of the Bolton Historical Museum, Bolton Landing, NY 12814.
