Formerly located Civic Center, Madison, Wisconsin 1979-1988.

Funded with a National Endowment for the Arts, Art in Public Places grant of $20,000 given in 1978 to the Madison Art Center, Inc., and private donations. The sculpture was commissioned for a small site that would have blocked Henry Street at Dayton Streets, but the fire department required that the street be left open. A second site was chosen near the Civic Center, and it was installed there in 1979. In 1988, the sculpture was moved to Olbrich Park.
