    Description: 
    The monument is comprised of a tiered base, ornate pedestal whose decorative elements include columns and reliefs and military accouterments, a tall, tapered square shaft and five figures. Four of the figures, a cavalryman, sailor, infantryman and artilleryman, stand at the corners of the pedestal atop the columns. A color bearer stands on the top of the shaft. He holds the flag on its pole in his proper left hand and points with his proper right hand. All of the figures are uniformed according to their military branch.
    Full-length, uniformed figure of a Civil War soldier stands atop a pedestal and tiered base. He holds a flag crooked in his proper left arm, with both hands around the pole. He wears a uniform with a short coat and a wide-brimmed hat.
