Remarks:
The sculpture is one of three works by this artist installed on campus for the College's sesquicentennial celebrations. This piece was first exhibited in 1976 at Chicago's Hyatt Regency Hotel Plaza for the bicentennial. It was also shown at the inaugural exhibition of the Snite Museum of Art, Notre Dame, Indiana. The piece is meant to "echo the eastern world's respect for the horizon."
