    Description: 
    An ornate grotto with niches on the front featuring a statue of Mary, seen standing, hands folded in prayer, placed opposite a kneeling figure of Bernadette. The grotto is constructed of mineral specimens from around the world, including geodes, coral, and sponge rock. The center grotto opening is arched and bordered by inlaid white barite stone, above which is a crown and stars also made of inset white barite. An interior mosaic depicts Mary descending stairs into the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve sleep.
