Description:
A robed, barefoot female angel with full wings stands bracing an open book on her proper right thigh, writing in it with a quill that she holds in her proper right hand. She looks down at the book, holding it open with her proper left hand. The sculpture is set directly on the ground.

Remarks:
The origin of this sculpture is not certain, although it was placed at its current site around 1960. A nearly identical angel is reportedly in the cemetery at Ossian, Indiana (IAS record IN000971). Local folklore suggests both angels were created by an itinerant carver or that they came from Italy.
