    Description: 
    Standing heroic figure of Saxon king Edward the Confessor (1002-1066), wearing robes and a large crown. He has a beard and in his proper right hand he carries a scepter. In his raised proper left hand he holds a miniature church. The sculpture is mounted upon a square, graduated base, with a spotlight before it.
