Description:
An angel with a shallow cup in its proper right hand appearing to spill the water of life to the ground. The sculpture is centered in front of a crypt, and mounted on a rectangular base.

Remarks:
The memorial is in honor of Timothy Appleton Chapman, a pioneer dry goods merchant in Milwaukee, who died March 18, 1892. The sculpture was commissioned by Chapman's widow Laura, and their two daughters. The model for the sculpture was Jessica Penn Evans, who frequently modeled for the artist.
