    Description: 
    Three allegorical female figures symbolizing Religious faith, Obedience, and Love. Religious faith is represented by a female figure standing with her hands clasped against her proper right shoulder and her head resting against them. She is flanked by two seated female figures representing Obedience and Love who bow their heads and cross their hands on top of their chests. Beneath the figures is an eagle with its wings spread.

    Remarks: 
    One of four sculptural groupings placed around base of capitol dome, symbolizing the fundamental characteristics of Wisconsin and its people. The figures representing "Faith" are placed opposite "Prosperity" (see IAS record WI000165). The other groupings are Knowledge (WI000445) and Strength (WI00446). The architect for the state capitol was George B. Post & Sons. The sculptural decoration was designed by Karl Bitter. John Grignola was the carving supervisor of an Italian crew for the project.
