Description:
A World War II soldier in full field kit, stands pointing with his proper left hand. He wears a helmet, has a canteen hanging from his proper right side and holds a rifle in his proper right hand. The sculpture is mounted on a rectangular base and placed in front of a wall emblazoned with ten insignia of various military divisions.

Created with the financial support of the State Armory Board. Dedicated on the fiftieth anniversary of the reactivation of the 83rd Infantry Division and the completion of Camp Atterbury as a military post to support World War II.
