Description:
Twelve crescent-shaped formations of abstract doves, with a green patina, bolted on Seminary wall. The sculpture represents the descent of the Holy Ghost at Pentecost, and when seen from a distance appears as one dove.

Remarks:
IAS files contain conflicting information as to the sculpture's media. SOS! report lists media as bronze; article in Province Review, Oct. 1961 (copy in IAS files) refers to media as copper. Brass plaque on wall reads: "THE DESCENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT"/given in memory of/David D. Hayes '21/by his son.
