    Description: 
    Three-quarter round figure of Christ attached to the slightly curved wall of the chapel. He is dressed in long robes which are gathered at the waist. His proper left arm is raised and bent at the elbow. His proper left hand is open with the palm facing outward. His proper right arm is at his side with his hand slightly raised. His robes hang off of his proper right shoulder. His long hair is pulled back from his face and his head is facing downward. His bare feet rest on a small ledge which extends from the chapel wall just below the figure.

    Remarks: 
    The contract was signed with the sculptor in 1957, and the carving, which was done in situ, was completed in March of 1960. The cost of the sculpture was $35,000, the gift of Mr. Wilbur R. Leitch of Baltimore, Maryland.
