    Description:
A contemporary depiction of Christ as a kneeling male figure dressed in a sweat shirt and pants, but no shoes. The figure is depicted with a beard and moustache and looks up toward the sky. His hands hover over a bowl installed in the base of the sculpture. As a working fountain, water flows from the bowl up through the figure's proper left hand. The sculpture symbolizes Christ offering to wash the feet the people of the Adams Morgan community where the sculpture is installed. The figure's back is to the street. He faces a bronze frieze mounted on the facade of the Christ House building, under the sunroom window. According to the artist, "the men in the sunroom window become a living part of the men and women and children in the Frieze, which represents the richness of the cultural diversity in Adams Morgan."
