    Description: 
    A stone grotto containing two figures illustrating the Virgin Mary's apparition to Bernadette at Lourdes. The figure of Mary stands dressed in a long white robe with her hair covered by a bluish gray cloak. There are two roses at the bottom hem of her garment. Her hands are placed together in a gesture of prayer. The figure of Mary is placed within a niche in the grotto. The figure of Bernadette is placed at the lower left of the grotto. She kneels wearing a blue robe, a white cloak, and a gray shirt. Her hands are clasped together in a gesture of prayer. Large votive candles are attached to the wall of the grotto and there is a patio area in front of the grotto's wall.

    Remarks: 
    The entire grotto was a gift from the societies, parishioners, and friends of St. Hedwig Parish. The figure of Mary was donated in memory of Karl and Mary Gorniewicz by their son and two daughters. The figure of Bernadette was donated in memory of Hyacinth and Maryanna Niezgodzki by August and Frances Kraszewski.
