Two English Pointer dogs, one is standing, the other is laying down, and placed in front. Both wear collars and are sniffing the air.

Different sources list sculpture media as being bronze and cast iron. IAS files include an excerpt from the book "Tampa That Was..." and a copy of the Plant Museum Inventory card. Sculpture was brought from Europe by Henry Bradley Plant and placed outside his hotel, the Tampa Bay Hotel, now part of the University campus.
