Full-length male figure dressed in a full football uniform. He is running and carries the football in his proper right hand. The figure stands inside two interlinked oval-shaped chains.

Remarks:
Commissioned by the United States Football League in 1984 to commemorate the championship game in Tampa. Reportedly the first piece of public art to be installed in a public park in Hillsborough County. Moved to its current location in 1992, due to liability concerns. Previously stood in the "Statue Parking Lot" now called the "Holly Parking Lot."
