    Two full length figures of baseball players in full uniform. One figure is upright and wears a baseball glove on his proper left hand. The other figure is sliding into the base. Neither figure is actually touching the base.

    Remarks: 
    One of a series of four sports figures at Veterans Stadium commissioned in response to the City of Philadelphia's one percent program. A booklet produced by Veterans Stadium, available at the Philadelphia Free Library, contains color photos and details about each piece in the series. This booklet was autographed by the artist on Aug. 15, 1977. Each piece is larger than life in size, and the outcome of the plays depicted in each is in question.
