Description:
A baby elephant, standing in the center of a watering hole, with his proper left front leg forward and raised. His head is tilted upward with his trunk curved and raised. Water spouts out of his trunk and his mouth is slightly open.

Remarks:
The sculpture was a gift from the Twentieth Century Club. The sculpture was done in remembrance of a young elephant that died in the zoo in 1984. IAS files contain related excerpt from the Washington Post, Oct. 12, 1990.
