    A standing figure of youth holding a book on his proper left. On his proper right is a flight of stairs and two broken columns on his proper right. The stairs represent the future and the columns represent the past. There are four standing figures behind him. Literature is writing on a scroll with a pen, Drama is holding masks of comedy and tragedy, Music is playing a primitive stringed instrument and Art is holding a brush and a palette.
