    Description: 
    Standing female figure, lightly draped with her head back and her proper left hand raised with a goblet in her hand. Her proper right hand rests on the head of a peacock by her side. Her proper right foot rests on the head of a lion. On the proper right of the lion is a tiger. Beneath the folds of her draperies is the head of a wild boar and an ape. The piece was originally designed as a fountain and water flowed out of the goblet.

    IAS files contain a copy of the Indianapolis Star (Indianapolis, IN), July 17, 1921. The article describes the meaning behind each of the animals. The piece, originally a fountain, was designed to catch the spirit of the writings of Juliet V. Strauss, the subjugation of the material to the spiritual. Funding was provided by public subscription.
