    Description: 
    A monument carved to look like a tree trunk with its limbs cut off. The works alludes to the economic decline of Story in the 1930s, and its susequent rebirth in the late 1970s. The carvings on the monument include: a wagon wheel, a deer, a dogwood tree and vines. The wagon wheel represents the Studebaker buggy assembly operation in Story in the 1920s.
