Inscription:  (Base, front:) ROALD AMUNDSEN/1872-1928 signed Description:  A square, bronze plaque containing a relief bust of explorer Roald Amundsen is set into a tall, rough cut, granite column. The bust is the proper left profile of Amundsen.
