The Scientist, an symbol of the impulse that has spurred the country's intellectual and technological development, is a male figure walking with his proper left leg forward and his proper right arm across his chest. He holds a book in his proper right hand and looks off into the distance to his proper right. He is dressed in loose drapery and has a moustache.
