G.A.R. DEP'T. PA. (Base, plaque on right side:) Members living Jan 1, 1909 (followed by a long list of names) (Base, plaque on left side:) Members who died prior to 1909 (followed by a long list of names).
Description:
A standing figure of a Civil War soldier dressed in his uniform consisting of long jacket, cape, and hat. He has a long moustache and holds a rifle vertically in front of him with both hands on the barrel. The figure stands atop a tall base adorned with the state seal of Pennsylvania. Below the seal is a row of seven stars, and below that is a row of four loops of bunting interspersed with stars. The bottom of the base is carved with a floral motif.
