G.A.R. DEP'T. PA.     Description: 
    A standing figure of a Civil War soldier dressed in his uniform consisting of long jacket, cape, and hat. He has a long moustache and holds a rifle vertically in front of him with both hands on the barrel. The figure stands atop a tall base adorned with the state seal of Pennsylvania. Below the seal is a row of seven stars, and below that is a row of four loops of bunting interspersed with stars. The bottom of the base is carved with a floral motif.
