    Description: 
    A Spanish-American War soldier carrying a rifle over his proper right shoulder marches forward with his proper right leg extended. He is dressed in his military uniform and carries a large satchel strapped across his chest. The sculpture rests on a tall square base adorned with a cross-shaped plaque on the front.
