Remarks:
Albert Harris and Edwin Clark were the architects of the Reptile House. Like many of the National Zoological Park's sculptures acquired under the Public Works of Art Project, the dinosaur mosaic was created by Federal Works Administration Program artist Charles Knight. IAS files contain an unidentified article discussing the zoo sculpture and the Public Works of Art Project; an unidentified typed description from the dedication, and a National Zoological Park 1988 cataloging sheet.
