    Remarks: 
    The memorial honors those from Blackford County who served in World War I. Funding for the memorial was raised by public subscription and a $1,200 contribution from the ladies of the Service Star Legion. IAS files contain a newspaper article from The Hartford City Newspaper, Sept. 28, 1921, pg. 1-4.
