    Description: 
    Full-length portrait of Solomon Juneau, the first mayor of Milwaukee. He is standing, dressed in the garb of a frontiersman, holding a rifle. The bas-reliefs on the pedestal depict Juneau trading with the Indians and his inauguration in the common council chambers. Also shown is Juneau on the banks of the Milwaukee river at an Indian encampment being offered furs. Bas-relief on south side of pedestal shows inauguration of Juneau as mayor.
