    Description: 
    A full-length portrait of President Benjamin Harrison standing before a draped, Greek style chair, depicted as if making a speech. He wears an open overcoat with his proper right hand upraised and his proper left hand holding gloves. Sculpture is mounted on an oval base with a decorative top border and a relief of an eagle on the front, set on a square base. An exedra is behind the memorial in the plaza.

    The sculpture was created by Charles Niehaus; base and plaza were designed by Henry Bacon. IAS files contain an article from The Indiana Preservationist 5 (Nov.-Dec. 1983): pg. 1, 10, which discusses the conservation treatment. University Park is listed on the National Register for Historic Places.
