Description:
Bust of Franz Schubert dressed in a shirt with a tie at the neck and a jacket with a wide collar and lapels. His curly hair is brushed back from his face and he stares straight ahead. The sculpture rests atop a tall base adorned on the front with a bronze plaque. In the center of the plaque, there is a floating female figure whose loose drapery reveals her proper left breast. In her proper left hand she holds a lyre. In her proper right hand she holds a branch up over her head. She is flanked by three floating cherubs, two below her on her proper left and one under her arm on her proper right. The cherub on her right plays a violin.
