Formerly located Fairmount Park, North Terrace, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 1960-1986.
Remarks:
In 1950, the Fairmount Park Art Association commissioned Jacques Lipchitz to create a bronze representing America's "Constructive Enterprise" for the Ellen Phillips Samuel Memorial. The sculpture, completed in 1960, was installed on the Memorial's North Terrace; however, it was so powerful a piece that in 1986, it was moved to the Central Terrace to increase its visibility from Kelly Drive.
