    Full-length portrait of Hans Christian Heg. He is dressed in military uniform, with knee-length double-breasted coat, pants, gloves and boots. He wears a sword at his proper right side.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture is a tribute to Hans Christian Heg, a Norwegian colonel of the 15th Wisconsin Volunteers, in the Civil War. The sculpture was a gift of the Norwegian Society of America. Enough money was raised so that a casts could also be erected in Heg's home town of Lier, Norway, and in Waterford, Wisconsin where he is buried.
