Description:
Stack of three cubes and four rectangular boxes welded together and installed on a cube-shaped base. The boxes are polished yet there is some texture on the surface. The sculpture rests at one end of a rectangular pool of water. When the water in the pool reaches the top of the pool, it spills over into a lower level pool creating a water cascade.

Remarks:
SOS survey noted the execution date with a question mark after the date 1-30-63. This piece is one of the twenty-eight sculptures Smith designed during his Cubi period between 1961 and 1965. IAS files contain an article from the Washington Post, April 26, 1964, which discusses the installation of this piece and an article from the Washington Post, Oct. 19, 1969, which discusses of few of the other pieces from Smith's Cubi period.
