Description:
A figure of Evangeline, wearing a long dress, a cape, and wooden shoes, sits upon a chair with her hands folded on her lap. The statue sits atop a multitiered base in a garden setting.

Remarks:
The statue of Evangeline is based upon the epic poem of the same name by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The statue was donated by Dolores del Rio, who starred in the motion picture production of "Evangeline," that was filmed in the area in 1929. A nearby marker was placed in memory Leo Builliard, Sr. in 1982. IAS files contain transcription of nearby plaque.
