A standing, nude figure of Hermes leans over to speak into the proper left ear of a bust of Zeus which is mounted on a pedestal. Hermes' rests his proper right hand on Zeus' proper left shoulder and Hermes touches the index finger of his proper right hand to his cheek as if whispering a secret to Zeus. Hermes' proper left hand is extended slightly backward and holds a staff topped by a two-headed snake. Hermes has two small wings on his head and wings on each of his ankles. Zeus has a moustache and beard and appears to be laughing. A robe or goat skin drapes down Zeus' front and the front of his pedestal. The sculpture is mounted on a rectangular, tiered base.
