    Remarks: 
    The artist stated he wanted to use elementary shapes, forms young minds are familiar with, since the work was for an elementary school. In order to choose the subject for the sculpture, he requested the students do several drawings illustrating their ideas. The final choice came to mind when he reviewed the drawings. The work began with a polystyrene form, over which a pieced plaster mold was fitted. IAS files contain a copy of an unidentified article which states the sculptor was an artist-in-residence for Jefferson County Board of Education, and that he never officially titled the sculpture.
