    Remarks: 
    IAS files contain a booklet titled "The Vermont Bicentennial Sculpture Symposium at The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center West Rutland, VT 1991." According to the artist, the sculpture represents an attempt to utilize a combination of directly carved abstract forms in relation to the natural surfaces of the original marble boulder to suggest the ideas of growth, upward movement and internal expansion. The title is derived from a translation of an ancient Buddhist mantra recited to invoke the divine spirit that dwells witin each of us.
