    Description: 
    An American eagle, carved from pine, perches with wings spread and head turned slightly to the proper right. The sculpture is painted gold. The sculpture has a wooden base. It is mounted on a ledge above the west entrance to the Claremont City Hall.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was donated by the Claremont Rotary Club to replace an earlier eagle erected in 1897 and moved indoors because of deterioration. The new eagle was installed and dedicated on June 20, 1981. It was repainted around 1991.
