    Description: 
    A figure, cast in bronze with self base, mounted on a square stone base. Bronze plaques are inset on three sides of the base. The sculpture and plaques are patinated a red-brown color, with bright metal highlights.

    The sculpture was installed on the Capitol grounds in 1930. Between 1989 and 1992, the sculpture was restored by George Wright, a sculptor and state employee. IAS files contain copy of the Capitol Sculpture Survey Report Form, Oct. 1994.
