    Remarks: 
    The $50,000 sculpture was funded by Mrs. Erwin C. Uihlein and dedicated on June 8, 1979, on the 80th anniversary of the entry of MacArthur into West Point. The MacArthur family had resided in Milwaukee, beginning with the General's grandfather, who settled there from Scotland in 1849. IAS files contain clipping from Milwaukee Journal, June 1979; a copy of the dedication booklet; and 1990 correspondence from the artist.
