Shakespeare
is depicted standing with his proper left hand on his left hip and his proper right leg bent slightly forward. He holds a book in his proper right hand close to his chest. He wears short slashed trunks, full cloak and doublet of the Elizabethan period. The sculpture rests on a two-color bell-shaped base
