    Description: 
    World War I Memorial with statue of an eagle with wings poised for flight, standing on a granite base which is adorned with various bronze plaques and shields. The Eagle faces south, head turned to its proper left. Commemorative bronze panels, medallions, and shields are attached to each side of the base. A bronze swag connects the four sides of the base. The bronze inscription panels, located on the north and south sides of the base, have stars and stripes shields above them. Lists of important battles are on bronze panels attached to the east and west sides of the base. Curving around each of the four corners of the base are bronze medallions representing the four branches of the armed forces. Tiles and bricks are set in the ground around the base.
