    Description: 
    The sculpture is a symmetrical seamless peace symbol welded, brushed, and polished from stainless steel sheet metal. Symbol is a 104 in. ring supported by a 3 inch wide, 52 inch high column installed directly in the ground. Within the ring are four radial sections located in the 12, 4, 6, and 8 hour clock positions. Ring and radial sections are 5 in. wide and column is a 3 inch wide T-shaped cross-section. Maximum depth of symbol is 3 inch. Each radial member divides near the center of the ring and joins with its adjacent members in an interlacing pattern.

    Remarks: 
    The 1992 SOS survey stated that this piece was designed and fabricated by eight University of Pennsylvania fine arts students. Robert Engman, the students' advisor, supervised construction. The survey cover sheet listed David Linquist as the artist. Gift of the University of Pennsylvania Student Coalition.
