ESTERLY (On front of base:) CHARLES EVANS/THE FOUNDER OF THIS/CEMETERY/CARVED 1846 signed Founder's mark appears. Description:  Full-length portrait of Charles Evans, seen standing dressed in fashion of his times, with trousers, waist coat, gloves and cravat. His proper right hand is on his hip and holds a pair of gloves. His proper left hand holds a scroll, and rests atop a pedestal. The sculpture is mounted on a granite base.
