    Description: 
    A full-length portrait of James W. Beardsley, dressed in trousers and frock coat, vest with lapels, necktie and upturned collar. He carries an overcoat draped over his proper left arm and holds a hat in his proper left hand. He holds a cane at his side in his proper right hand. He stands atop a granite base that has a Greek key in its frieze.
