Description:
An entrance gateway comprised of two granite ashlar columns. The column on the east features a high-relief carving of Henry Keney's head. Each column has carved classical details, including garlands, rosettes, and horns of plenty, and is crowned with large stone urns. An elaborate iron fence on either side terminates in paired columns of similar design, except for their orb finials.

Remarks:
A plaque on a column at the west side of the entrance reads: KENEY PARK/GIFT FROM/HENRY KENEY/TO HIS/NATIVE CITY.
Henry Keney (1806-1894), was a prominent businessman and wholesale grocer whose bequest funded the creation of Keney Park. The park was officially transferred to the City on Nov. 11, 1924. The entrance parkway was a collaboration involving
